Most laptop thefts occur when employees are travelling. The most recent back up of the laptop is usually when it was connected to the corporate network, which could have been days or even weeks ago, resulting in significant loss of data.
The DataBank Online software has been designed to seamlessly backup laptops
anytime, anywhere.
Installation
- Simply install the DataBank Online Enterprise client on each laptop.
- Select the folders and files that you would like to be backed up.
- Set the backup and retention schedule backup
- The backup runs according to the chosen schedule or when the user next connects to the internet.
Restore
The administrator or the user has the ability to restore the files to the original file location or to any other computer.
Administration
The DataBank Online web interface enables the administrator to:
- View the backup reports from every laptop
- Adjust the backup schedule/retention policy for each laptop
- Restore files
Security
The data is encrypted using 256-bit military level encryption and securely stored on the DataBank Online servers located 3 floors underground in the state of the art DataBank vault.
